Reglas BCAPL ahora Oficial de CueSports International (CSI)
CUESPORTS INTERNATIONAL ADOPTA OFICIALMENTE REGLAMENTO DE LA BCAPL
Una gran noticia para el gran esfuerzo que hemos realizado en este portal. Casi podemos verlo como un regalo a nuestro esfuerzo, un reconocimiento, ver que lo dicho por muchos, lo elegido por nosotros, hoy se vuelve más real y toma más terreno cada vez.
El reglamento oficial de la BCAPL ahora ha sido adoptado oficialmente por la segunda más grande organización de billar, la CueSports International y adoptan el reglamento como oficial para toda la organización.
La CueSports International tiene bajo su mando a dos de las ligas de pool más grandes de Estados Unidos de América, la misma BCA Pool League (BCAPL) y la USA Pool League (USAPL), así mismo son impulsores de la American Billiard Club (ABC) que en conjunto impulsan la nueva modalidad de juego American Rotation / Rotación Americana que trae consigo un proyecto bastante interesante.
Todo esto aunado a la gran cantidad de torneos que ya se rigen por el mismo reglamento como Derby City Classic, US Bar Table Championships, Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball Tournament y todos sus eventos regionales, estatales y nacionales, además de varias modalidades de nueva creación como Saratoga (Bola-13), American Rotation, Combo 6, que han sido desarrollados bajo este mismo reglamento.
Por eso insistimos y seguiremos insistiendo, ¿Quieres aprendes a ser un profesional?, estudia y desarrollate bajo este reglamento, dominando este reglamento, no solo tendrás un mayor conocimiento, tendrás un mejor comportamiento y desenvolvimiento en la mesa, tu comunicación será mejor con tus oponentes, tu visión del juego y de la relación y comunicación que debe existir en la mesa será mucho mayor. No se trata solo de cantar o no una falta, o de tomar la vía fácil y sencilla para cantar o no algo, se trata de todo lo que una explicación o aplicar correctamente una regla representa. Hablamos de aprender a observar, a cuestionar, a dialogar, a anticipar, a tomar decisiones y muchas cosas más. El simple y sencillo hecho de conocer un reglamento bien, te da mayores herramientas estratégicas de juego porque tendrás en mente consideraciones que no tiene un jugador que solo se guía por el concepto básico de “meter bola” o “esconderte un tiro”. Desde este punto, adaptarte a cualquier otro reglamento será juego de niños.
Desde Febrero del 2014 se libero oficialmente el nuevo reglamento, que aunque ya venía aplicándose de manera extra oficial es hasta este momento que formalmente el reglamento será conocido como Reglamento Oficial de la CueSports International o bien, Reglamento Oficial de la CSI.
Junto con esta oficialidad vinieron revisiones al reglamento que arrojan modificaciones y correcciones que tuvimos que trabajar para actualizar en el portal trabajando de la mano con Bill Stock (Director del Programa de Árbitros de la CSI) para conocer a detalle los cambios que deberían realizarse en todas las secciones y nuevas secciones como es el caso de las reglas de juego en modalidad Scotch Doubles.
Así que ya lo saben, nuestro reglamento ahora se llama Reglamento de la CSI / Reglamento de la CueSports International disponible aquí en español con todas sus secciones y próximamente la sección de Scotch Doubles.

2014 Rule Changes
Following are the changes that were made to the rule book. There were not that many actual rule changes. Some typos were corrected and the language in a few of the rules were changed.
The name of the rule book has been changed to Official Rules of CueSports International.
It is now the 2014-2016 Edition.
All of the shading throughout the book has been removed. In the past it indicated new entries or changes. There are very few of those and we find it unnecessary to use any shading.
EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS
10. Mechanical Bridges
First sentence- the word “the” between “determining” and “whether” should be deleted.
DEFINITIONS
Head of Table
Insert “and lag” between the words “break” and “is”.
GENERAL RULES
1-3 Use of Equipment
g. you may not use any ball, cue, rack, chalk cube or any other equipment or other part of your body as a width measuring device.
Insert “chalk cube” in the sentence so that it reads the same as above.
1-4 Cue Requirements
2. delete “take a shot” and insert “shoot”.
1-14 Racking Procedures
1. You must rack for yourself when you are breaking. (exception: One Pocket and 14.1)
1-17 Calling a Safety
2. At the end of the rule delete “see Rule 1.41 (AR p68)”
1-19 Legal Shot
1. Should read “or a simultaneous hit” with a legal…………………………………….
3. Replace “described” with “detailed”
4. To the end of the sentence add: “and before the shooter is down on the shot.”
1-33 Disturbed Balls (cue ball fouls only)
1. Replace “disturb” with “move”.
3. Replace “there is” with “a disturbed ball has”
4.Replace “there is” with “a disturbed ball has”
1-38 Ball in Hand Placement
4.First sentence, between the words “a” and “if” insert “foul”.
1-42 Non-Shooting Player Requirement
Delete the entire paragraph and replace with:
If asked, the non-shooting player must provide information to you concerning the game on the table (e.g., who has which group in 8-Ball, or whether they committed a foul, etc.)
8-BALL
2-3 Break Requirements
3. Delete letters “c” and “d”.
Beneath the deleted letters the paragraph should read:
The game cannot continue until there is a legal break. If your opponent’s break is illegal and there is also a foul, the illegal break takes precedence and you must choose either option (a) or (b) above.
4.Last sentence should read: your opponent receives ball in hand anywhere on the table.
2-4 8-Ball Pocketed on the Break
2-“a” should read: have the 8-Ball spotted and take ball in hand anywhere on the table.
2-6 Establishing Groups
3.Add the following sentence to the end of the paragraph.
If a game has ended and then the players realize they shot the wrong groups, the game is not replayed and the result stands.
2-8 Safety Play
Delete the paragraph that starts “Rule 2-8 has been”
9-BALL
3-3 Break Requirements
1. 3rd sentence: insert “legally” between the words “either” and “pocket”.
10-BALL
4-6 delete existing words and replace with (Reserved for Future Use)
4-7 Illegally Pocketed Balls
1. a. delete text and re-letter “b” and “c” to read “a” and “b”.

10-3 Calling Fouls
7. Sentence that starts “to emphasize” has “and is” at the end and should be deleted.
10-4 Responsibility for Multiple Tables/Referee Presiding
1. Replace “BCAPL” with “CSI”.
b. delete entire paragraph and replace with:
A referee observing a foul before being called to a table may use that knowledge to call the foul if called to the table after the foul. The foul may not be called if the referee is not called to the table before the next shot.
c. delete the rest of the paragraph staring with “and will not make any call concerning”.
10-5 Protests, Rules, Interpretations and Final Authority
3.At the end of the paragraph add: Any person holding final protest authority must avoid acting as a referee.
APPLIED RULINGS
Applied Rulings is now section 11.
1-32 Miscues
Paragraph that starts “In that situation” between the word “occur” and “with” insert “during the miscue”.
Paragraph that starts “During a simple miscue” between the words “shaft” and “also” insert the word “may”. Remove the “s” on the word “contacts”.
Delete the entire paragraph that starts “The difference between”.
Delete the entire paragraph that starts “When a miscue occurs”.
Delete the entire paragraph that starts “An unintentional miscue”.
